RAMP SERVICES BID PROCEDURES
BID EFFECTIVE DATE – November 18, 2017
Bidding is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 and continue through Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
The shift bid will be conducted in the BID Room located by the Ramp Manning Office, Ramp Level D21.
Full-Time bid phone number is 305-526-7937 and Part-time is 305-526-1911.
The following is the procedure for absentee bidding:
1). Submit N*MIA (form). Please list your seniority date on the bid form. The only bid form that will be accepted is the N*MIA Shift Bid Form. No AOI’s will be accepted. If you do not list the correct seniority date your bid form will not be accepted.
2.) If you are not present to bid, your bid will not be accepted from another FSC without a signed N*MIA Shift Bid If you give authorization for someone to bid for you and they are not present at your bid time, you will be bypassed. Another employee will not be allowed to bid for you. There will be no exceptions.
3.) If you anticipate you will be working a flight at your scheduled bid time, it will be your responsibility to contact the bid room prior to your bid time to make appropriate arrangements. We will not be stopping the bid to locate or call employees at home that have failed to appear at their scheduled bid time.
4.) If you do not bid by the last day of the bid in your classification you will be assigned.
If you are not present to bid and you do not phone in your bid, you will be bypassed.
If you have Permanent Restrictions and you are not present to bid you will be assigned to a shift based on your restrictions.
All N*MIA Shift Bid forms must be placed in the BID BOX located by the Bid Room next to the manning office or Cargo Administration. The bid box will be checked at 06:45 am daily prior to the bid starting. Do not give forms to the Employee Service Center personnel. They will be void.
